Establishing a healthy balance between People and Nature
Protect, Inspire & Unite ― through advocacy, education, science, technology, and community driven initiatives.
We actively initiate, enable and implement changemaking initiatives to build unique and impactful solutions for biodiversity.
When a community takes the lead, restoration takes root.
In Sankandi, Gambia, we support local partners to restore mangrove forests that protect coastlines, rebuild fisheries, and create lasting livelihoods for their community.

Nature has given us some of our greatest medicines. But its power to heal goes far beyond what we find in laboratories.
In this article, Dona Bertarelli explores why protecting biodiversity is essential not only for ecosystems, but for human wellbeing. The evidence is clear: wild plants offer life-saving compounds, and time outdoors strengthens both mind and body.
Nature’s health is our health. We must protect both.

Half our planet is deep seabed, yet less than 1% has been studied. We’re living in a moment of discovery, where every expedition in the depths reveals life forms and ecosystems we never imagined possible. At the same time, interest in mining is growing to access minerals on the ocean floor.
This is Earth’s largest biome, where species have evolved in remarkable ways over millions of years. There are organisms we haven’t even discovered yet, ecosystems whose roles we are only beginning to understand. How do we make informed decisions about extraction when we barely know what lives there?
As we approach tomorrow’s International Day of the Deep Seabed, there is real momentum building for a moratorium. Over 40 countries, major companies, and researchers share the same view: understand the impact on biodiversity first, gather the scientific evidence we need, then determine if mining can proceed without causing irreversible harm.
The path forward depends on rigorous science.

"What began as a deep love for the sea has grown into a mission to protect it, not only for its beauty, but for its vital role in sustaining life on Earth. True progress isn’t measured by what we take from Nature, but by how well we give back: to people, to the living world that sustains us, from wildlife to the plants and animals we share our lives with, and to those who will come after us."
